Cellomics Inc. Releases New Version of Cellomics® Data Viewer, the Leading HCS Visualization Tool
Pittsburgh, PA - June 24, 2002 - Cellomics, Inc. announced today the release of a new version of its leading High Content Screening (HCS) visualization tool, Cellomics Data Viewer. Data Viewer provides rich visualization of cell images and quantitative spatial, temporal, and functional analysis of cells and their constituents. This interactive visual analysis capability allows the user to visualize multi-feature, cell-based data/images and make comparisons across multiple plates, wells and/or features from any Cellomics HCS Reader. Some of the key improvements in the new release of Data Viewer include: support for all Cellomics HCS Readers and legacy data; faster data load; easy set-up and configuration; improved graphical user interface; and more flexible image and data export functions. These enhanced capabilities provide the end-user with wider access to HCS data and the ability to rapidly analyze results to make better decisions.
“We believe that providing swift, rich and robust visualization of HCS data will enhance our customers’ ability to maximize the impact of HCS in their discovery efforts,” stated Dr. Albert Gough, VP of Research and Development. “Data Viewer provides just that functionality in a single application that works with data from both ArrayScanâ and KineticScanä HCS Readers.” “We listened very closely to our customers’ needs regarding visualization of HCS data and this new release of Cellomics Data Viewer represents a major step forward in terms of functionality, speed and ease of use,” stated Dr. Mark Collins, Senior Commercial Manager, HCS Software and Informatics. “This emphasizes our commitment to our customers by responding to their needs and providing them with unique, self-installable, state-of-the-art tools to enhance their discovery efforts.” Cellomics, Inc. is pioneering the field of cellular knowledge extraction. Its unique technology, referred to as High Content Screening, integrates fluorescent reagents, kits, cell lines, multi-parametric assays, HCS instrumentation (both fixed end-point and kinetics systems), and informatics tools to achieve a flexible, broadly applicable platform for users in the life sciences. This automated platform, when applied to lead optimization, predictive toxicology, and new target validation, is proving to reduce the “idea-to-discovery” cycle time in drug discovery, while increasing the probability of the therapeutic success of leads. Currently, Cellomics’ proprietary ArrayScan and KineticScan HCS Readers are in use at multiple sites within the top fifteen pharmaceutical companies in the world, as well as several additional leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and academic centers.
