Cellomics, Inc. Launches the CellSelect™ BioApplication Access Plan at Drug Discovery Technology™
BOSTON, MA – August 12, 2003 - Cellomics, Inc., the creator of and market leader in high content screening (HCS), announced today at the Drug Discovery Technology meeting the new CellSelect™ BioApplication Access Plan. For scientists performing HCS, “the CellSelect Access Plan provides customers with a more flexible and economical way to purchase and utilize our 17 powerful BioApplications” stated Dr. Sarah Burroughs Tencza, product manager at Cellomics. “Cellomics has the largest portfolio of BioApplications available, and the CellSelect Access Plan will increase the productivity of our HCS customers so that HCS assays can be used in a broader range of drug discovery and therapeutic programs.”
CellSelect BioApplication packages enable scientists to purchase more image analysis algorithms for their ArrayScan® HCS Readers and vHCS™ Discovery Toolbox, enhancing the flexibility of the system. The four different Access Plan levels, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, provide progressive discounts on BioApplications as well as other benefits and services including new BioApplications, training, reagents, and enhanced customer support. CellSelect will further expand the role of HCS in drug discovery,” stated Tencza. By utilizing this large portfolio of easy-to-use, and in some cases patented, algorithms, drug discovery companies can extend the benefits of HCS into all of their therapeutic areas for target identification and lead optimization, through the process to toxicology testing. “Although we are publicly launching CellSelect this week at DDT, we have begun offering this BioApplication access plan to our current customers and the response has been extremely positive,” commented Dr. Tencza. “Our customers can now realize the full potential of HCS through our many BioApplications and easily see the value in accessing our portfolio of current and future releases.” Cellomics, Inc., a privately held corporation founded in October 1996, pioneered the field of High Content Screening, defined as automated analysis of cell arrays according to temporal, spatial distribution, environment, and/or activity of fluorescently labeled cell constituents, resulting in new knowledge on cellular functions. Cellomics is leveraging their current fourth generation instrument platform and the largest HCS installed base in the life sciences markets to proliferate HCS through a turnkey series of desktop software modules, vHCS™Discovery Toolbox , for significant productivity enhancements throughout the drug discovery process.
