DescriptionCellomics High-Content Screening (HCS) Reagent Kits are powerful tools for cell-based screening and analysis of specific molecular targets and biological parameters. Among the available kits are those designed to measure key cytotoxic and apoptotic states. Cellomics HCS Reagent Kits are designed and validated with the Cellomics ArrayScan HCS Reader and BioApplication Software, together providing a “Total Solution” for high-content screening. HCS Reagent Kits are also fully compatible with other fluorescence-based HCS platforms and conventional fluorescence microscopy. HCS Reagent Kit Highlights- Available in validated single- and multiplexed configurations

About Cytotoxicity and ApoptosisDecrease in cell number, mitochondrial membrane potential changes, increase in membrane permeability, oxidative stress, and increase in the size of lysosomes (phospholipidosis) are some of the hallmarks of cytotoxcity. Different cell death mechanisms, including necrosis and apoptosis, are important cellular states and/or actions, with particular distinct characteristic responses and phenotypes. Activation of caspases, disruption of mitochondrial membrane potential, and nuclear condensation are some of the several markers of apoptosis. High content screening assays enable researchers to monitor and correlate multiple cellular parameters simultaneously, and thus increase the predictive power of drug toxicity. Available Kits for Cytotoxicity and ApoptosisWe offer an extensive (and growing) line of optimized protocols and reagent kits for single- and multiplexed high-content analysis (HCA) of toxicologically relevant parameters.
